It's all about good food and good company
When we opened our doors in 2015, we had one simple goal: to bring the wonderful Mediterranean flavours to Oxford. Soon, Opera Cafe was buzzing like a Moroccan souk with the smells and flavours of different cuisines seeping through our streets.
At Opera, we only use local coffee roasters, the best ingredients and everything is prepared freshly for you. In addition to our classic red lentil soup, exceptionally delicious Baklava, and heartwarming mint tea, we keep surprising our guests with new cakes and vegan wrap creations.
Opera wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for the people who come to Opera to discuss quantum physics over Egyptian Koshari (we are still in awe), to share the latest gossip over an Indian Masala latte (oh no, he didn't..), or to read the latest Malcolm Gladwell book (we are huge fans!).
We love Oxford because it brings together a wonderful mix of people from around the world, and with a little bit of turmeric, cumin and coriander, we think we've just made it a teaspoonful better.
Five years on, with a few redecorations, menu changes, and new faces, we still have one mission: to bring a little bit of the Mediterranean to Oxford.

Boiled, fried or scrambled? Our colourful breakfast menu is bursting with flavours from around the world. Freshly prepared for you every morning.
Wraps
Our wraps are the talk of the town. Delicious & fresh ingredients wrapped in authentic Moroccan wraps, perfectly grilled just for you. That's a wrap.
Soups
Our Moroccan Harirra soup and Red Lentil soup have been with us from the beginning. Bold in flavours and colours, something for a light lunch or cold winter day.
Sourdough Toasties
Looking for a quick bite to go? Our grilled sourdough toasties are to die for. Crunchy on the outside and cheesy on the inside, yum!
Salads
This is not your ordinary salad selection. We only use fresh ingredients for our salads and believe that they should be bursting with flavours and colours.
Cakes
We get our cakes from local bakers who love what they are doing - and so do we. So, how about an almond tart or chocolate cake or perhaps a salted caramel chocolate brownie?
Buns & Pastries
Our Scandinavian cinnamon buns and French pastries are out of this world. Freshly baked every morning, best catch them while they're hot and with a cup of coffee.
Orientals
Opera wouldn't be the same without them: our pistachio baklava & basbousa. No visit to Opera is complete without trying one of our timeless classics.

Coffee
We are looking for perfection when making most important beverage of the day. That's why we only use coffee beans from local coffee roasters.
Tea
If coffee isn't your cup of tea, why not try our all-time favourite Moroccan mint tea? It goes very well with Baklava...
Fresh Juices
At Opera Cafe, fresh means fresh. We also believe that there's nothing a freshly squeezed orange juice with a shot of ginger can't fix.
